How to book an appointment

We offer the following appointments:

  • Pre-bookable face-to-face GP appointments for non-urgent routine issues (4-8 weeks in advance)
  • On-day emergency telephone calls – please refer to our telephone line opening times.
  • On-day routine telephone calls
  • SystmConnect
  • Community Pharmacy Referrals

** You may also be offered an appointment at the Local Primary Care Hub – BEC – Bournemouth East Collaborative Treatment Centre at Shelley Manor Surgery which is part of the collaboration with other local surgeries to improve access to appointments for our patients.**

Community Pharmacies can help you with the following

Please visit your local Pharmacy for:

  • Athlete’s foot
  • Cold sores
  • Warts & verruca’s
  • Cystitis (Women under 50)
  • Ear wax
  • Head lice
  • Mouth ulcers
  • Nappy rash
  • Postponement of periods
  • Sore Throats, Coughs, Cold and Flu
  • Teething
  • Thread worms

Please help us to help you…

  • If you cannot keep your appointment – please let us know so that we can offer it to another patient. We do keep a record of all appointments that are missed. If this becomes unacceptable we will contact the individual patient to discuss our concerns.
  • If you change your name please let us know so that we can update your records.
  • If you move please let us know your new address. If it is outside our Practice area we will need to transfer your records to your new Doctor.
  • If you change your telephone number, please let us know so that we can update your records.

Online Services

We have extended our online scheme to enable patients to see a summary of their medical record as well as ordering repeat medication and updating contact details. If you would like to register for this service please download and complete the application form below and we will get you set up.

Emergencies / Urgent Appointments

If you need to be seen the same day please telephone us as soon as possible after 8:30am. If your problem requires urgent assistance please make this clear to the Receptionist.

Infectious Disease

If you have a suspected infectious disease, please inform reception if you suspect an infectious disease, as this will enable us to deal with it appropriately during your visit to protect you, other patients and staff.

Consultations for 16 to 75 year olds

If a patient aged between 16 and 75 years has not had a practice consultation within a period of three years, we are happy, on request, to provide a consultation.
